A full day of studio time, built around individual practice, not a shared exercise — bring reference material, a work in progress, or just yourself and an idea.  Start with some warm-up drawing. Sessions are structured around the room.

Develop confidence with colour, materials and composition while exploring contemporary and traditional approaches to drawing and painting. Strengthen observation, visual thinking and expressive mark-making through practical studio-based exercises.

Suitable for beginners, returning artists and experienced makers alike.

Per session $181.50 incl gst + booking fee
CSA members $165.00 incl gst + booking fee

What to bring:
Your own materials/anything you like to work with — e.g. small canvas, canvas board, or heavy paper (2–3 supports to start), your own brushes and paint, a water tub, a pencil, eraser, charcoal and sketchbook, and any reference material you’d like to work from. An apron or old shirt is a good idea. Something to wrap your palette/brushes in for clean up at home.
