Fowlers Gap Tour 2026 Exhibition
Fowlers Gap Group Exhibition
This exhibition features the work of 12 artists from around Australia who took part in a recent educational art expedition to Fowlers Gap in Western NSW.
Over 10 days, the artists worked in a beautiful landscape with a unique light, picturesque locations and heightened colour. Workshops included plein air painting, mixed media, monotype printing, ceramics and assemblage. The works on show are a direct result of that time, and include paintings, drawings, monotypes, lithographs, assemblage and ceramics. There are some stunning pieces, many available for sale at reasonable prices.
This is the fourth art tour I have organised to Fowlers Gap. I teach painting, drawing and mixed media, and Tanya Stubbles and Lyndy Marshall teach assemblage and ceramics. Fowlers Gap is the only research station in the arid zone of NSW, 112 kilometres north of Broken Hill. Established in 1966, the 39,000-hectare property has long supported researchers from UNSW and other institutions, and it’s a place where art, ecology and arid zone sustainability intersect.
