Fifteen Australian artists come together for the Fowlers Gap Art Tour Exhibition, showcasing works inspired by an immersive July expedition to Western NSW. Experience painting, printmaking, ceramics, and drawing that capture the unique colours and landscapes of this iconic arid zone.
Fowlers Gap Art Tour Exhibition
The Fowlers Gap Art Tour Exhibition brings together 15 artists from across Australia, including students and staff who participated in a July art expedition to Fowlers Gap, Western NSW. Known for its long history of supporting artists and research, Fowlers Gap provides a unique environment where art, ecology, and arid zone sustainability intersect.
Artists worked in studios and outdoors, taking part in workshops, plein air painting, drawing, printmaking, and ceramics, including pit firing. Notable teaching staff contributors include Tanya Stubbles, Etienne Deleflie, and Matt Frost, who guided workshops and captured the striking landscapes and colour palettes of this extraordinary location.
The exhibition celebrates artistic exploration, professional development, and community engagement, with a percentage of sales supporting Foundation Broken Hill. Visitors can explore a wide range of mediums and styles, experiencing the creative outcomes of this immersive expedition.

Ashley Frost is a Thirroul-based artist and educator, working in painting, drawing, and monotype. He also organises immersive art tours, including the Fowlers Gap Art Tour, providing artists with unique opportunities for creative exploration and professional development.
