Opening Hours
Clifton School of Arts opens for specific events, exhibitions and workshops. The venue is open on Thursday and Friday 8am-3pm, as well as throughout scheduled event times. Check our What’s On page for details. For queries or to arrange a visit please email our Events Manager Laura Gordon who is at the venue on Thursdays and Fridays 8am – 3pm.
Admission
Most exhibitions at CSA are free. Check our What’s On page for admission fees for ticketed events and workshops.
Parking
Parking is limited at CSA especially at weekends and public holidays. We have a small parking area but please plan your visit. Carpool or use public transport if possible.
Transport
Train: Scarborough Station on the South Coast Line is the closest station. 15 min spectacular walk – especially during whale season! Check Transport NSW for timetable and travel info.
Bus: Several bus routes along Lawrence Hargrave Drive stop right outside the venue. Check Transport NSW for details
Accessibility
CSA’s main floor is wheelchair accessible. Note that there are accessible toilets in Rube Hargrave Park directly opposite the venue.
Food & Drink
Just 2 minutes’ walk from CSA is the famous Imperial @Clifton Hotel. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fabulous coffee and snacks. Spectacular views.
Accommodation
Take some time to explore the area. There is plenty of choice when it comes to accommodation within a 10-minute drive of CSA. Check out Headlands Hotel at Austinmer beach, the luxurious Tumbling Waters Retreat at Stanwell Tops or the Thirroul Beach Motel. There is also a great variety of Airbnb rentals to suit all budgets.
Things To Do While You’re Here
If you’re planning to visit Clifton School of Arts to see an exhibition or come to an event, make sure to leave some time to walk the famous Sea Cliff Bridge. Just across the road from CSA you will find great coffee and gourmet food at the Imperial @Clifton Hotel which is open 7 days a week. Feeling adventurous? Climb the ancient Wodi Wodi track to the top of the escarpment. You will pass through stunning angophora forests, discover pristine waterfalls and take in spectacular views up and down the Illawarra Coast.
