Sako Dermenjian is a virtuoso classical and contemporary guitarist with Armenian heritage, he was born and raised in Syria and then moved to Sydney. He is renowned for his ensemble playing and his interpretation and promotion of the modern Classical/Spanish guitar repertoire.​
Sako is a High Distinction Graduate (Highest Guitar mark) of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and winner of the Middle Eastern Guitar Competition (2006-2008), Sydney Eisteddfod Guitar Prize (2018) and many more. He is a Fine Music FM Young Virtuoso Finalist and Sydney Eisteddfod Champion.
He has performed at many major venues including the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney City Recital Centre. Festival appearances include the Melbourne Guitar Festival, Sydney Folk Festival and the Armenian Film Festival (Sydney & Melbourne).
