THE PASSION OF MUSIC – A CLIFTON SCHOOL OF ARTS FUNDRAISING EVENT
CLIFTON SCHOOL OF ARTS FUNDRAISING EVENT
On Friday September 27th at 6.30 The Clifton School of Arts is showing the Steel City Strings Film The Passion of Music.
This is a fundraising event for CSA supported by Steel City Strings, an orchestra which provides opportunities for up and coming young soloists to perform.
Acclaimed filmmaker Tony Williams reveals stories of people behind the music and the important role of the orchestra in a rural community.
The players are united by their passion for music, their dedication and energy. The film is an uplifting experience celebrating the joy of music.
The Clifton School of Arts is a heritage listed building constructed by miners in 1911 and owned by its Members for the community. Its beautiful location is an uplifting place for this event. Funds raised will go towards the members’ vision to build an extension.
The film had its world premiere in Wollongong in February 2018 and Mayor of Wollongong Gordon Bradbury said it is “a very inspiring experience visually and emotionally. Tony Williams has put together a wonderful movie. It is a marvellous achievement”
