The exhibition includes images of significant battles that involved the Australian and New Zealand Army Core (ANZAC) on the western front of world war 1 from 1916-18.
The images have been created at the approximate location and time of day that the ANZAC soldiers began their attacks during such battles as Fromelles, Pozieres, Bullecourt, Villers Bretonneux, Polygon Wood and Messines among others.

The images are accompanied by contemporary accounts of what occurred there, and each image title includes the overall casualty figures for both ANZAC and German soldiers – the grim reality of the human cost of ‘the war to end all wars’.
